The suffering ties that bind download. With every new generation of Nvidia graphics cards, there’s always one that gets a massive power bump over its predecessors. This time it’s the GeForce RTX 2060. Last time, it was the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, and the RTX 2060 does a lot with its time in the sun.

To go with their monitors and laptops Gigabyte also had multiple high-end motherboards and numerous graphics cards on display at CES 2019. Two of the motherboards that caught are attention were enthusiast offerings including the Z390 AORUS Xtreme which offered a 16 phase IR Digital VRM solution with Pow/Rstage. To go with the beefy VRM, they used a new cutting edge thermal design which uses a fins-array heatsink with a direct touch heat pipe and a NanoCarbon baseplate. Wireless networking has been included via an onboard Intel CNVI 802.11ac 2x2 Wave 2 Wi-Fi with AORUS Antenna. Meanwhile, standard networking is handled by an AQUANTIA 10 GbE BASE-T LAN and Intel Gigabit LAN with cFosSpeed. Other additions include Intel Thunderbolt 3, exclusive RGB Fan Commander and OC Touch. Finally rounding out its features is the 127dB SNR AMP-UP audio with high-end ESS SABRE 9018K2M DAC, LME 49720 and OPA1622 OP-AMP, and WIMA audio capacitors. Just be prepared to pay the price of entry as this motherboard comes with a $599 price tag.
Taking things a step further, Gigabyte also had the AORUS Z390 Xtreme Waterforce motherboard on hand as well. It offers many of the same features as the Z390 AORUS Xtreme but adds in an AORUS all-in-one monoblock for both the CPU and PCH area. It also has Triple Ultra-Fast M.2 slots with PCIe Gen3 x4 interfaces along with their Triple Thermal Guards. To afford this high-end board unless you are an extreme enthusiast you might need to sell a kidney considering its eye-watering $899 price tag. Other motherboards on hand included both the X299 AORUS Master and Z390 AORUS Master which are already available at retail.Concerning graphics cards Gigabyte had many on hand including GeForce RTX 2060, and RTX 2080 models. When we asked about the RTX 2060 cards, we found out that final clock speeds have not been determined just yet. However, Gigabyte will have multiple models including a Mini-ITX version available soon to go with the more traditional Windforce OC models etc.The real attention grabber out of the graphics cards on display was the AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 Xtreme Waterfoce WB. It comes with a Waterforce water block and features RGB Fusion for illumination. It also has an all-metal backplate with RGB illuminated AORUS logo and comes with a 4-year warranty once the product has been registered. Clock speeds were listed as 1890 MHz compared to the reference cards 1710 MHz and to facilitate further overclocking they utilized a 12+2 power phase design. Related News

This is probably harsh and I do like Gigabyte and most of their boards. But one looks like it has a condom wrapped around it.

Nvidia expands GTX 16-Series with new mobile graphics and desktop GTX 1650
The RTX 2060 comes a long way from being the meager, plasticky middle child of Nvidia’s GPU lineup. This new graphics card has fully mastered Full HD and QHD gaming, can deliver a playable 4K experience and will even let you bask in the glory of Nvidia’s ray traced future.
The card does come at a slight price bump over its predecessor, but it’s a price we’d happily pay for what is one of Nvidia’s best graphics card yet.

Pricing and availability
As we expected, the new Nvidia RTX 2060 comes at a higher $349 (£329, AU$599) price than the $299 (£249, AU$499) Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 it’s replacing, though some might argue that a $50 bump isn’t nearly as severe a price bump as we’ve seen on the company’s higher-end GPUs.
What’s interesting is that unlike other Nvidia Turing cards, Nvidia hasn’t announced the RTX 2060 with multiple price points. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 simply starts at $349 (£329, AU$599), leaving third-party board partners to create more affordable or expensive cards at their own whim.
Despite the higher price, this card punches well above its weight and feels more like a replacement for the $449 (£419, AU$759) Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti. It still falters behind its bigger brother, the $499 (about £380, AU$690) Nvidia RTX 2070, but puts AMD’s $399 (£379, AU$679) Radeon RX Vega 56 and $279 (£249, AU$425) XFX Radeon RX 590 Fatboy in their place.
How to open car trunk without key. The downside is that if you lose the gadget, it can take days and hundreds of dollars to replace it, and you’ll probably need to have the vehicle towed to a dealer who will order a new key. Electronic car door openersFortunately, many new vehicles come with electronic door openers or “digital keys” that don’t allow you to lock the doors with the keys in the vehicle.
Still, it’s worth mentioning that AMD is gearing up to give RTX 2060 a run for its money when it unleashes the AMD Radeon RX 5700, expected to offer comparable performance at 1440p on Max or Ultra settings, though bizarrely at $30 more.
Features and chipset
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 is quite a step up from its predecessor. Equipped with 6GB of the latest 14Gbps GDDR6 video memory and 50% more CUDA cores, you’re looking at a much more capable graphics card. Whereas the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 was designed for 1080p gaming and could scrape by playing some games at 1,440p, the RTX 2060 has mastered high-frame rate Full HD gaming, delivering excellent 1440p results and somewhat playable 4K gaming hovering around 30 frames per second (fps).
This is thanks in large part to the RTX 2060 being based on a modified version of the Turing TU106 GPU used in the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070. While this technically means you’re getting a cutdown version of a higher-end graphics card, most of its power still carries over. This is the very reason why this new ‘mid-range’ card is so capable.
The only thing we’re not wild about is the fact that Nvidia has decided not to include an NVLink connector or any form of SLI support on the RTX 2060. This means users will have to buy a much more expensive RTX 2070 or RTX 2080 – rather than plugging in another RTX 2060 – if they want to inject some more graphical oomph into their gaming PC later on.

In our synthetic benchmark tests, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 not only tops its predecessor, but even higher-tier GPUs of the Nvidia Pascal generation, like the Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti. The only graphics cards to top the Nvidia RTX 2060 are the substantially more expensive Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070, AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080. Until AMD releases the new AMD Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT graphics, you won’t find another mid-range graphics card more powerful than this.
All this performance also translates to seamless gaming experiences. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 is more than powerful enough to keep frame rates well north of 60fps in Full HD gaming, which is music to the ears of high-refresh-rate monitor owners. Meanwhile, it even delivers decent 4K gaming that hovers close to 30 fps in our benchmarks.

Despite having the smallest complement of RT and Tensor Cores in the Nvidia RTX lineup thus far, the RTX 2060 can still pull off all of the Turing architecture’s new tricks including DLSS and ray-tracing. In fact, this GPU can play Battlefield V at a consistent 70fps – 75fps with the game running at 1080p with Ultra quality settings and ray tracing.
Unfortunately, tuning up the fidelity to 2,560 x 1,440 drops the frame rate to 45fps – 40fps if left on Ultra quality settings and ray tracing. However, 4K with all the same settings is still surprisingly somewhat playable with the frame rate hovering around 25fps.
Based on our testing, we also find new dual fan cooler works well at keeping the RTX 2060 running much more efficiently than the previous Pascal-series cards.
Final verdict
It’s a bit disappointing that Nvidia has yet again raised the price of PC gaming with the RTX 2060. However, it’s hard to argue its price when it delivers such stunning performance. This new mid-range graphics card now rules over 1080p gaming, fully delivers on 1440p experiences and can even play games at 4K (if you don’t mind the more pedestrian frame rate of 30 fps).
The Nvidia RTX 2060 is $50 more expensive than the GPU it replaces, but we’d happily save up a little longer and get this card over the slowly disappearing GTX 1060 – as well as the GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti. It’s simply much more capable and longer lasting. Plus, this graphics card can give users a taste of the new ray tracing future Nvidia is pushing, though, not to the uncompromising level of the company’s higher-end cards.

Users on a tighter budget may be better served by the myriad versions of the Radeon RX 590, if they’re okay with just gaming at a Full HD resolution. Otherwise, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 currently stands unchallenged as the best mid-range graphics card you can buy.
